In this part of the Andean region natural and cultural marvels can be observed during the whole year, the most important activities in this region are developed in the month of February, for the parties of Carnival, the proximity to the city of Ambato and the party of “The Flores and the Fruits”; another important and very colorful festivity is “Mama Negra” at September and November at Latacunga.

The construction of the new road Quito -Tambillo has reduced the time of trip from Quito toward this region to only one hour and fifteen minutes, by a very sure highway. This area is one of those more visited by national and international foreigners.
